It’s been a long time coming, but we’ve finally reached a point in time when you don’t have to overspend to take home a decent robot vacuum. The Eufy RoboVac 11S serving as a perfect illustration of the point, which packs a whole bunch of high-end features into a sleek, slender and surprisingly affordable piece of kit.

For this kind of cash, there’s always going to be compromise in some areas. In the case of the Eufy 11S, this means the exclusion of a few optional extras like voice control or a corresponding mobile app. Nevertheless, what you get from the RoboVac 11S in terms of quality, performance, versatility and value for money really is outstanding.

In this Eufy RoboVac 11S review, I’ll be taking a look at some of the ups and downs of this budget-friendly machine. (Spoiler Alert: There are far more ups than down with the Eufy 11S!)

Features and Specifications

The whole point of a robot vacuum cleaner is that it’s supposed to be labor-saving and easy to use. The Eufy Anker, BoostIQ RoboVac 11S (Slim) scoring top marks in this department, doing away with all the unnecessary extras and focusing on what really matters.

Simplicity really is the order of the day with this thing, which is an absolute breeze to get to grips with right out of the box. Primary features and functionalities that stand out about the Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11s include the following:

  • 1,300 Pa suction power, which is more than enough to deal with surprisingly stubborn dirt, dust and debris around the home.
  • 0.6L dust capture capacity, designed to compact and compress the dirt collected for less frequent trips to the bin.
  • 55dB noise level for discreet operation. This is about the same as a standard microwave, ranking it among the quietest robot vacuums out there.
  • Suitable for all types of hard floors and most carpets up to medium pile, effortless gliding from one floor covering to the next.
  • Excellent maximum operational time of 100 minutes, significantly outperforming many comparable robot cleaners.
  • Designed to fit into tighter spaces around the home, with a slender profile of just 2.85 inches in height.
  • The Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11s also ships complete with a convenient remote control and a reassuring 12-month warranty for total peace of mind.
  • There’s also an advanced triple filtration system under the hood, minimizing the presence of dust particles and allergens in the air.

Combine all of the above and it’s clear you’re looking at the real deal - an affordable robot vacuum cleaner that packs a real punch. As for how these claims to fame measure up in practice, we’ll be coming to that a little later in this Eufy RoboVac 11S review.

Design, Shape, and Size

As touched upon above, the Eufy RoboVac 11S is every bit the sleek, slender and lightweight robot vacuum cleaner you’d expect from any leading brand. According to the manufacturer, the official shape and size specifications of the Eufy RoboVac 11S are as follows:

This means that not only is the RoboVac 11S much quieter than many comparable robot vacuums, it’s also far more lightweight and slender enough to get under awkward furniture and fixtures.

It’s also a pretty gorgeous appliance to look at, available in black or white with a polished exterior that’s easy to clean with a quick wipe.

App or No App?

The RoboVac 11S doesn’t support Bluetooth connectivity and therefore does not come with a corresponding mobile app. However, the remote control that does come with the kit makes it easy to activate, control of program all the various features and functionalities of the device in seconds.
It’s always good to have a mobile app where possible, but I can say with confidence that the Eufy RoboVac really doesn’t need one.

Performance

Getting down to business, how does the Eufy RoboVac 11S perform when put to the test?

Well, first of all I can confirm that exactly as promised, this is one of the easiest robot vacuums to operate you’re ever likely to come across. The Eufy RoboVac 11S Manual included in the kit is clear and concise from start to finish, making it easy to set everything up and find your way around the remote control within a couple of minutes.

The 11s features a handful of different cleaning modes, which can be activated or switched using the remote control. There’s Single Room mode for giving a smaller space a good clean for around 30 minutes, while Edge mode is specifically designed to run along the edges of the room against the wall for a 20-minute clean.

Then there’s Spot Cleaning mode that focuses on a more confined area for 2 minutes, working in a spiral pattern. If preferred, you can also use the remote control to manually direct the RoboVac 11S around the room, which can be surprisingly satisfying!

In any case, I found the Auto mode to be the most efficient and versatile of all, getting to work on a variety of floor coverings and cleaning a decent-sized living room with no trouble whatsoever. The fact that it can keep on running for up to 100 minutes is an absolute godsend - particularly if you happen to have kids or pets (or both) about the place like we do.

Rather than simply dying on the spot, the RoboVac 11S is designed to automatically return to its charging station when the battery is depleted, so as to be ready to go next time you need it.

About Eufy

Eufy’s motto of “Smart Home Simplified” is reflected in the ease-of-use its various products and devices bring to the table. One of the most appealing things about the whole package with the Eufy RoboVac is the fact that it is so easy to use, with no unnecessary complications or superfluous extras.
Eufy is an established and reputable Chinese electronics brand, owned and operated by Germany-based Anker Innovations. Their product lineup includes everything from laser-guided robotic vacuum cleaners to cutting-edge Home Security Systems - all of which prioritise quality, value for money and user-friendliness.

Competing Products

The Eufy RoboVac 11S is perhaps most closely rivalled by two alternative devices - the Ecovacs DEEBOT N79S and the Eufy RoboVac 11 Max.

Eufy RoboVac 11 Max

Taken from the same collection as the 11S, the Eufy RoboVac 11 Max is a higher-performance variant of the vacuum at a slightly higher price. Most of its primary specifications and features are identical to those of the 11S, though the maximum suction power of the Max can go as high as 2,000Pa.

Ecovacs DEEBOT N79S

Likewise, the Ecovacs DEEBOT N79S is relatively identical to the RoboVac 11S in terms of power, performance, features and functionalities. The biggest difference being that the Ecovacs DEEBOT N79S is Bluetooth enabled and comes with a mobile app - it can also be controlled via Alexa, if preferred.

Conclusion

In summary, you’d have to be critical in the extreme to find something genuinely negative to say about the Eufy RoboVac 11S. It wasn’t long ago that you’d be looking at price two or three times higher than this to pick up a robot vacuum cleaner even half this good. Today, the quality and performance you can take home for around the $200 is simply remarkable.
Of course, you could argue that the Eufy RoboVac 11S doesn't boast some of the more complex features and functionalities the most iconic robot vacuums on the market bring to the table. But at the same time, you also can’t deny the appeal of keeping way more cash in your wallet and still benefiting from a robot vacuum that works like a dream.
